Guess who is coming for dinner tonight

An adorable film, directed by Stalay Kramer, where we are shown how love for children overcomes any prejudice or belief acquired over time, no matter which side we are on within social conventions, each one has their own.

The generational clash between those younger ones who have grown up safe from the beliefs of past generations and who have managed to maintain that innocence of free spirits and who see the world as they wish to see it, as it really is, from their own prism and not with the prescription lenses of their parents, a world that has no barriers and in which they have much to contribute.

It magnifies the conversation that the protagonist has with his father, who reproaches him for all the hard work he has had to do to get him ahead and that is when Sidney Potier gets furious, in a brilliant performance, pointing out that it was he himself who, with his effort, has achieved get to where he has gotten in his career and that it was his duty as a father to provide him with the affection, love and means necessary to achieve it.

Love will be what will unite them and make them feel free, because each of them has felt it at some time and having done so, it is already stored in our hearts, as a heart that has already stopped beating can beat again and even lost the most remote hope of feeling it again, is what happens to the protagonist, played brilliantly by Sidney Potier, who will feel alive again, when he falls in love. That true love of some parents for their children, of some husbands for their partners and of some young people who have just found it, what power and strength that love has that turns a person into a truly living being.
